Each of the six ingredients in Diabec - Bitter Melon, Gymnema sylvestre, Fenugreek, Jamun, Neem, and Enicostemma littorale - has been investigated for a different pathway relevant to glucose metabolism. Bitter Melon and Gymnema have been studied for effects on insulin sensitivity and intestinal sugar absorption; Fenugreek contributes soluble fibre and 4-hydroxyisoleucine; Jamun (Syzygium cumini) and Enicostemma have been examined in preclinical models for influence on alpha-glucosidase and glucose-handling enzymes; Neem provides antioxidant flavonoids studied in metabolic-stress contexts. A 2012 review in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology surveying Indian botanicals concluded that multi-herb formulations targeting complementary pathways are a recurring theme in classical Ayurvedic practice (PubMed PMID 22120029).
Diabec is manufactured in India in a WHO-GMP certified facility under NIBARTECH LTD's quality protocols (Companies House registration 15283998). Each batch of every ingredient is supplied as a standardised extract with an active-marker assay - for example, gymnemic acid content for Gymnema, charantin for Bitter Melon, and 4-hydroxyisoleucine for Fenugreek - to ensure consistency between bottles. Finished batches undergo independent third-party heavy-metals testing (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) to verify compliance with EU food-supplement limits and California Prop 65 thresholds. Many glucose-support supplements sold in the UK and US contain a single botanical at a high dose. The Diabec formulation takes a different approach: six standardised extracts at moderate doses designed to address complementary pathways.
